Urban Tailor - Custom Cut, Custom Tailored
A Never Forgotten Legacy - Our Mission in Context
Our mission is to bring more personal and unique styles back to the streets and everyday life. To achieve this we combine the best of old fashioned tailoring and craftsmanship with new technologies that enable people to design their own garments from home.
We believe that in this time of collectivism the only true luxury in our life is individuality. There is still the need for the uniquely personal and individual in everybody's life, and maybe in today's fast moving society more than ever before. As the famous American philosopher Eric Hoffer said. "It is the individual only who is timeless."

History of Urban Tailor
Urban Tailor is the first brand of The SNJ Brand Collective that was founded early in 2007 by Salinya (S) Suthinarakorn and (N) Jay (J) Uhdinger to change the way people think about tailor made clothing.
Salinya has been working in the fashion business since 1999 and takes care of the production together with her team of experienced tailors. She grew up in Bangkok and started selling her first fashion line in her store in downtown Bangkok at the age of 22. After two years she moved on and started to create tailor made outfits for corporate clients such as Moet Hennessy, Samsung and Volkswagen.
Jay has a cross media design background and takes care of the design concepts. He grew up in Munich and studied multimedia design in Australia. After graduating in London he moved to Bangkok to work for one of the leading product design studios in Thailand.
The SNJ Brand Collective
The company forms the foundation for brands that are set to launch in the future. Even though each brand will be different they will all share the same values that we believe in.
High quality, innovative designs, ethical manufacturing and truly individual styles.
High Quality: Every item we produce goes through several quality control steps to ensure that it meets our high quality standards. We only work with a hand picked team of experienced tailors that proved in the past how well they work.
Innovation: Life is not static. We firmly believe in constant change and optimization in all areas of our business. We can't stop and won't stop trying to create truly unique and innovative products. We want to discover new territory and change how people think about clothing. Like Albert Einstein said; "If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts."
Ethical Manufacturing: We could not do business knowing that people who are involved in the production of our goods are forced to live near or even below the poverty line. Whenever you have seen a “sweatshop” you will start thinking differently about the real cost of mass production. The human cost. It is nice that some companies pride themselves in using eco-friendly materials but too often they forget about the humans who are involved in the production of their goods. We pay everyone who works for us well and do everything we can to use as many eco-friendly materials as possible.
Individual Styles: We believe it is time to give people a more personal and individual choice when it comes to clothing. We give our customers the power to co-create or customize items to make them fit their personal style. We don’t want to reach the mass market, we want to create a market for individuals.
